Palos Verdes Youth Football and Cheer

PV SIDELINE CHEER

PV Sideline Cheer is our developmental cheer program for younger athletes entering grades K–4. It provides a fun, supportive introduction to cheer in a local environment, with a focus on performance, skill development, and building confidence. These teams cheer for our Mavericks flag football games and remain local to Palos Verdes.

Who It’s For

• Grades K–4
• Beginners & experienced cheerleaders welcome

Teams & Divisions

• Ages 5–6, grades K–1 — Mini Mavs
• Ages 6–8, grades 1–2 — Jr. Mitey Mavs
• Ages 8–10, grades 3–4 — Mitey Mavs

Season Includes

• Local practices and game days
• Minimal travel
• Fundamental skill instruction
• Cheer camp and local events (schedule dependent)

Program Focus

• Basic cheers and motions
• Beginner stunts and jumps
• Confidence building
• Teamwork and fun
