How do I register my child for a program?
Registration for all programs opens March 1, 2026 and can be completed online through our website. Simply select the desired program, complete the required information, and submit payment to secure your spot.
Does my child need experience?
No, we welcome athletes of all levels of experience for all of our programs.
How often do you practice?
It depends on the team.
Cheer: Teams practice a minimum of 2x per week during season.
Flag: Teams practice 1-2x per week during season.
Tackle: Teams vary by divison but may be between 2-5x a week during season.
Challenger: 1x per week.
What is included in the registration fee?
Registration fees typically cover league administration, scheduling, officials (if applicable), and facility usage. Uniforms, equipment, and tournament fees may vary by program and are noted during registration.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
Refund policies vary by program and are outlined during registration. In general, refunds may be available before the season begins, minus any administrative or processing fees.

What equipment is required?
Required equipment varies by sport and program. Any mandatory items will be listed on the program page or shared by coaches prior to the first practice.
Are volunteers or coaches needed?
Our programs rely on volunteer coaches and helpers. If you’re interested in volunteering, you can indicate your interest during registration or contact us directly.
How will I receive updates and announcements?
All updates are sent via email and posted on the website. Please ensure your contact information is accurate so you don’t miss important communications.
Are games played on holidays?
Holiday schedules vary by program. Any planned games or breaks will be communicated in advance.
How are coaches trained or screened?
PVYF&C requires background checks for all coaches. In addition, all practices must be supervised by at least one individual who holds current Red Cross Community CPR and First Aid certification, as well as a valid concussion awareness certification.
What is the organization's code of conduct?
All participants, parents, and spectators are expected to follow our code of conduct to ensure a safe and positive environment for everyone.
